Not much happening.....

......it's kinda' nice to say that! It's always weird though after Christmas when I've been so busy and then suddenly there's not much to do. I went to church this morning with Daddy (or he went with me). We had an interesting experience. The youth did the service because our preacher and his wife were out of town. Three of them did interpretive dance to some black rap music! Granted it was Christian music, but wow! It started out screaming loud! Daddy and I both just looked at each other like, what on earth is that!!!! We had an immediate discussion about how we didn't care for it when we got in the car! Call me old fashioned, but I just didn't think it was appropriate for church! Also the girls had on skin-tight t-shirts (and they were kinda' well-endowed if ya' know what I mean! The shirts had an angel with wings on the back and then there was a big A in an oval very strategically placed on the front. I just wonder if any of the other people at church felt the way I felt. I did applaud, but I noticed Daddy did not!! Oh, well, I guess we're just going to have to get with it.

I got a camera for Christmas, so I'm going to take some pictures Thursday when we get together and try to put them on here! Love all of you! More later!!

Twas the day after Christmas......

.......and all thru the farm, not a creature was stirring, the grandkids are all home. No stockings were hung by the chimney this year, but Santa still came with all his reindeer. Out on the lawn there are boards laying all over the workers didn't seem able to recover. There's only a tree for decorations you see 'cause Nana had no time to do anything else--oh me! The presents got purchased, wrapped and given out--it's a miracle with all the other goings on in this house, no doubt! We do have some walls now, some paint and some tile, even a potty--the guys went the whole mile! A wonderful Christmas was had here by all in spite of the chaos, we all had a ball! We're looking forward to family coming to visit, they won't even have to look at the new space and say, "what is it?" We'll visit and eat, and laugh, and give gifts, and remember that Jesus was born at this time, no ands, buts, or ifs!

Well, hello family! I was feeling "poety" (my own coined word!) tonight, so I wrote this silly poem just for y'all. I'm looking forward to having y'all on New Year's Day! I don't know why I decided to do this blog, but it'll give me a place to post pictures for all of you that I'll take with the camera I got for Christmas. I'll see all of you next week. Love, Brenda
